Hello fellow Old-timers,

I hope everyone had a great summer! Congratulations go out to the Hartford Hawks, after beating the Rubicon Red Sox two straight games to win the 2021 Rock River League Grand Championship. It was a hard-fought series with great crowds both days. It is good to see the fan support that both of these teams had.

I want to drop a reminder to everyone about our last two events of the season. The 8^th Annual Rock River League Old-timers Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, October 2^nd at Horicon Hills Golf Club. Everyone should have received an entry form with the last mailing. The Annual Hall of Fame Banquet will be held on Saturday, October 30^th at Lions Hall in Clyman. Come and join us as the “Class of 2020/2021” is honored. Being inducted into the Hall of Fame will be Brad Tagliapietra, an outfielder for Brownsville, Terry Koth, infielder/pitcher for Kewaskum, Andy Kasten, a pitcher for Watertown and Kyle Krueger, a pitcher/manager for Clyman. Also being inducted posthumously will be Jon Moldenhauer, former manager/outfielder for Clyman. The Rock Diamond Award will be given posthumously to Dave Zimmerman, former infielder/manager for Slinger and Pardeeville. Former umpire Rube Schulz will also be honored. The cost of the banquet is $25. Reservations can be made by contacting Bob Schulz 480 W. Juneau Street Apt. B Hustisford, WI 53034 or at the above email or phone number. Reservations must be made by October 20^th to give Edith’s Catering a chance to prepare the meal. Cocktail hour starts at 6:00 with the meal to be served at 7:00.
